The Designer
(she/her)
I am a graphic designer and illustrator in the NY/NJ area specializing in entertainment packaging, layout, branding, and merchandise design.
The most notable inspiration for my work is David Bowie and his incomparable artistry. I also pull inspiration from post punk music design, the 1970s-1980s, and retro illustrations that will most likely be found on your grandma's living room wall.
In my free time, I teach myself bass guitar (lefty).
I especially enjoy playing through the songs
Feel Good Inc. (Gorillaz) and Psycho Killer (Talking Heads) about 50 times a day, causing my family to
soon loathe these songs.

Why David Bowie?
When I was a kid, my dad engraved every single Van Halen song into my brain, and this definitely had a domino effect on my music taste, fashion, and aesthetic. I grew up loving 70s-80s rock music, movies from the 1980s (especially those directed by John Hughes) and vintage fashion styles. My fondness of old stuff was and will forever be my main personality trait, so I might as well embrace that. My sweet 16 was an 80s glow bowling party, and yes, I made all of my guest come dressed as their favorite 80s icon.
After high school, I wanted to explore more music outside of classic rock, so I subscribed to a music streaming service and began researching new artists that I might enjoy. It was not until 2018, that David Bowie was put on my radar. I met my current boyfriend while participating in Drum Corps in 2017 and he is the one that brought David Bowie into my music library. Starting off with the basics, he would send me songs by him that he thought I would enjoy, Starman, Heroes, Life on Mars, etc. I began exploring more music by Bowie and fell in love with his music, his personas, and his artistry. Three years later, I know so much more about him that I did back in 2018, and his music has been incredibly important to me ever since.
The original idea for my thesis was not surrounded by David Bowie, but it was going to honor him and about 20 other musicians that had been taken away from us too soon. My professors brought up the idea of centering my project around David Bowie. I loved that idea and rolled with it, creating Tomorrow: David Bowie's Legacy.
